Atiku Storms Kaduna As Massive Crowd Turnout At PDP Rally
The major opposition political party in Nigeria, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) recorded another successful campaign on Sunday in Kaduna, after the party flagged-off its Presidential elections campaigns in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, last week.
The Party's presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar told the large audience that filled the Kaduna Stadium, that he will turn around the Country's security apparatus, restore the private sector, and fix the nation's economy, which in turn will create jobs and improve infrastructural development.
Addressing the people, the PDP's Vice Presidential candidate and Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa knocked the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC accusing her of destroying the country's economic system.
Okowa pledged to support Atiku, to rebuild Nigeria, while calling on the electorate to vote out the APC adminstration in the 2023 elections as a pay back for the misery and pains inflicted on Nigerians in the over seven years.
The PDP in Kaduna is boastful of its electoral strength, saying the State gave PDP the highest votes in 2019 election and promised to redouble their votes for Atiku in 2023.
The PDP is currently battling to resolve its internal crisis, after five of its governors led by Governor Nyesom Woke of Rivers State pulled of the Presidential campaign team boycotting all her activities and programmes.
The other governors in the Wike camp are; Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, Samuel Orton of Benue State and Seyi Makinde of Oyo State.
Notwithstanding, the PDP is still a force to be reckoned with as the party again recorded another successful campaign in Kaduna State with a massive turnout of citizens.
An elated Atiku Abubakar took to his verified Instagram page to express gratitude for a successful campaign, despite the challenges encountered at the earlier stages. He wrote:
"I wish to commend the efforts of security officers and our supporters in foiling the attempt of agents of anti-democratic forces to disrupt the Kaduna PDP campaign. Notwithstanding, the rally marked a huge turnout and was a huge success"
