Hurray!!!! Calabar Carnival Set To Return.

After being suspended for two years as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, the annual Calabar Carnival seen as Africa's biggest street party, is set to return with ten countries expected to feature in the 2022 edition.

Cross River State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Eric Anderson released the cheering news in a statement to Journalists this Thursday, beating his chest that all is set for a memorable event.

The statement observed that though more countries were showing interests to participate in the annual event, only ten have so far confirmed their readiness to attend based on the set rules of engagement.

The Commissioner gave the theme of the 2022 Calabar Carnival as: "Industrialization", explaining that this will be interpreted by all the visiting countries and the participating thirty States from Nigeria.

The Calabar Carnival is the second largest Carnival in the world after Brazil and the Cross River State Government says it is using tourism to promote the positive image of Nigeria to the rest of the world.
