Hushpuppi Bags 11 Years, 3 Months Imprisonment In US 


The United States District Court, sitting in the Central District of California has sentenced Nigerian Instagram freeze, Ramon Abass better known as Hushpuppi to 11 years and 3 months imprisonment, for money laundering and conspiracy through online scams.

Justice Otis Wright II, who delivered the judgment on Monday,   found Ramon Abass (Hushpuppi) guilty of several allegations, which include; business email compromise, laundering proceeds of a school financing scam, and fraudulent cyber schemes, amongst others.

Hushpuppi was arrested at his Dubai, United Arab Emirates hotel apartment in June 2020 for defrauding over $1.9 million from people, majority of them Americans, and was subsequently extradited to the United States on July 3 to face trail.

The 37 years old Billionaire who was always showing off his wealth and affluence on the social media Instagram account, pleaded guilty to the charges filed against him.
