Okorocha’s In-law, Ololo Dumps APC, Becomes "ObiDient"

Engineer Chucks Ololo, the husband of former Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha's younger sister, Ogechi, has dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Labour Party (LP) in other to support the Peter Obi 2023 presidential project.

Ogechi Ololo was the Commissioner for Happiness in Imo State when her elder brother, Owelle Rochas Anayo Okorocha held sway at the Douglas House, Owerri, making her husband, Chuks Ololo one of the most powerful power brokers at tbe time.

Okorocha, the incumbent Senator representing Imo West Senatorial zone served out the second term as governor as a top chieftain of the APC, together with his in-laws and political associates.

Chucks Ololo who was at the Labour Party Secretariat in Owerri to renounce his continued membership of the ruling APC said: "I am joining Labour Party today, intending to fully support the party in delivering Mr. Peter Obi and other party’s candidates across all levels. I am here to work with the party to salvage our country because I strongly believe that the soul of Nigeria is in the lands of the Labour Party".

Former Governor Okorocha had tried but failed to foist his son In-law, Uche Nwosu as his successor in the 2019 governorship election in the State, an election which Chucks Ololo equally aspired for ticket of the APC, resulting in a fierce superiority political battle between Okorocha and incumbent Governor Hope Uzodimma of the same Party.
