ABIA SECURITY: CP Bala Takes Over From AIG Agbede

The Abia State Police Command has a new helmsman, with the formal take over of CP Mustapha Mohammed Bala from AIG Janet Agbade who was recently promoted and redeployed.

CP Bala in his median Press briefing at the State Command headquarters, Umuahia shortly after the ceremonial handover, said he will be soliciting for proactive security supports from both state and non-state actors, as well as the relevant critical stake-holders in Abia State in other to deliver on the mandate of securing the State.      

The new CP has also pledged the readiness of the Police Command under his watch to collaborate with other sister security agencies to ensure the security of lives and property during the ember months, which will culminate into the festive season. 

CP Mustapha Mohammed Bala who hails from Sandamu in Sandamu Local Government Area of Katsina State, was until his posting to the Abia State Police Command, a Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations in Zone 3, Imo State.

He took over from the former CP, Janet Agbede who was recently promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) and deployed as the Commandant of the Nigeria Police College, Jos in Plateau State.
