NASENI Kicks-Off Skill Acquisition Training In Cross River

About One hundred youths drawn from the 18 Local Government Areas of Cross River State are currently undergoing a 5-day skill acquisition training programme at Calabar, the State capital.
The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) is organising the training programme in different modern skills, aimed at making the youths become employers of labour when certified.
The programme which runs from the 24th - 28th October, 2022 is in collaboration with the Cross River State Government and is holding at the State owned West Africa Fabrication Academy in Calabar.
Speaking at the flag-off ceremony on Monday, the Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of NASENI, Professor Mohammed Sani Haruna, said training of the One hundred youths who will be empowered with starter packs upon the completion of their programme, was part of President Muhammadu Buhari's youth intervention programme using locally made technologies.
He said NASENI focuses specifically on the areas of modern farming, agricultural processing, production and preservative equipments which young Nigerians can use after their trainings.
The Cross River State Deputy Governor, Professor Ivara Esu represented Governor Professor Ben Ayade at the event.
