Two Nigerian internationals were on top of their games in the English Premier League Match Day 11 fixtures, this Saturday.

Super Eagles forward, Taiwo Awoniyi scored the only  goal of the match in Nottingham Forest defeat of highly rated Liverpool at the City ground.

Awoniyi, a 2013 FIFA u-17 World cup discovery who was signed by Liverpool for six years but never featured for the reds, stunned his former club with a fantastic goal.
  
The now 25-year-old forward who left Liverpool in 2021 scored from close range to earn Nottingham a famous win which supporters of the Tricky Trees will savour for a long time.

With the result, the Forests are out of the relegation zone, but leaves Liverpool in search of an away win in the current season.

At Goodison Park, it was the turn of Alex Iwobi to help Everton overcome Crystal Palace, after providing assistances in two goals of their 3-0 win. 

The Super Eagles midfielder had set up Dominic Calvert Lewin and Dwight Mc Neil in between of Anthony Gordon’s 63-minute goal to help the Toffees defeat Crystal Palace.

Elsewhere at Etihad, Norwegian striker, Erling Haaland continued his scoring runs as the 22-year-old took his goal tally to 17, with a brace in the Manchester City 3-1 defeat of Brighton and Hove Albion.
