EX-SENATE PRESIDENT, MARK, LOSSES FIRST SON TO CANCER


The first son of Nigeria's former Senate President, Senator David Mark, is reported dead.

Tunde Mark, aged 51 is said to have died in the early hours of this Friday in London.

A family source said he had suffered from cancer, though it is yet unclear the circumstances surrounding his death.

He left behind a wife, a child and parents.

He was an alumnus of Yaba Military School, Lagos, and the Ferden Prep School, Haslemere, Surrey. 

Tunde obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the Kings College, London before proceeding to the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences, Harvard, and Cambridge, Massachusetts where he studied Biological Sciences.

The body is expected to be brought back in the next few days for burial at his home Otukpo, Benue State in the North Central region of Nigeria.
