Ekiti State Gets New Governor As Oyebanji Takes Over From Fayemi.

Kayode Fayemi has bowed out after Biodun Oyebanji took the oath of office as the fifth democratically elected Governor of Ekiti State.

Oyebanji succeeds Fayemi, who doubled as the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum, thereby raising the stakes for the new Ekiti State helmsman. 

Governor Oyebanji and his Deputy, Monisade Afuye were sworn-in at the Ekiti Parapo Pavillon, Ado-Ekiti, the State capital.

The Ekiti State Chief Judge, Justice Oyewole Adeyeye administered the oath office and allegiance on Governor. Biodun Oyebanji at about 12.52 pm local time in the presence of a mammoth crowd.

The APC Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and former Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose were among dignitaries who graced the occasion.
