Suspected gunmen have reportedly struck at different locations in Akokwa town, Imo State leaving residents in tears.
At one of the scenes around the popular Ohaegiri junction, the dare devil armed men attacked a man driving a Lexus 350, abducted him and set the car ablaze.
An eyewitness said the suspected kidnappers forced out the lone occupant of the Lexus car, into their own get away vehicle and escaped unchallenged.
A video which has gone viral of which africafirstnews.com obtained a copy, showed the attacked car, burning by the roadside while motorcycle operators moved freely, as if nothing untowardly happened in the area.
A voice on the background of the viral video narrated what seemed like a fearful scenario of attacks by the gunmen at Akokwa this Tuesday morning, 11th October, 2022.
The Police in Imo State is yet to make an official statement on the incident.
