"AYU-MUST-GO": PDP BoT Meets Gov. Wike
Members of the Board of Trustees, BoT of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP have met with Governor Nyesom Wike in a peace mission to resolve the internal crisis rocking Nigeria's main opposition political party.
The Rivers State helmsman is leading a group of five PDP Governors otherwise known as the "G-5 Governors", agitating for the resignation of the Party's National Chairman, Senator Iyorchia Ayu after the presidential primary election won by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
After meeting behind closed doors, both Wabara and Wike spoke in words that gave signs that the peace talks may have been inconclusive, though with great hopes of a possible early resolution.
While Governor reassured the PDP members that is group were not leaving the Party, the Governor hopes that the leadership of the PDP will listen to its calls for justice, equity and balancing in the running of the party.
Wabara said with the level of consultations so far undertaken by the BoT, there was hope for an early reconciliation and resolution of all the internal crisis in the PDP.
