More Health Centres In Nasarawa LGAs - Gov. Sule
Local Government Areas in Nasarawa State in the North central part of Nigeria, are to have more Primary Healthcare Centres constructed in their areas, so as to meet the increasing medical needs of the rural population.
The State Governor, Alhaji Abdullahi Sule disclosed the plan while speaking to Journalists during the medical and surgical outreaches in Nasarawa, Kokona, Akwanga, Wamba, Nasarawa Eggon and Karu Local Government Areas of the State.
Governor Sule commended the Executive Director of the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency (NPHDA), Dr. Faisal Shu’aibu for the initiative which according to the officials, is aimed at taking care of people who cannot afford medical bills despite their health challenges.
The Governor noted that the programme will help in strengthening the health system, increasing access, and improving the quality of integrated Primary Healthcare services.
The Executive Director of NPHDA, Dr. Faisal Shiaibu had earlier explained that the outreach will improve the livelihood of people in the local area and the State at large.
