Suspected terrorists have attacked the family house of the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Dutsi Local Government Area of Katsina State and killed his mother and younger brother in the process.
Natives claim that the gunmen are those operating in the deep forests of Dutsi areas
Police spokesman, Superintendent Gambo Isah who confirmed the attack, said the incident occurred Monday night.
“The incident is true but we don’t have details yet. Our officers have already gone there but I cannot say more than this for now”, SP Isah is quoted as saying.
It was gathered that the DPO whose name was not given for security reasons was said to be on night duty when the terrorists stormed his family house, operated freely without any resistance.
