Lagos Lawmaker Slumped, Died at APC Jos Rally.

It was a sad  Tuesday the Lagos State House of Assembly member, representing Mushin II Constituency, Honourable Sobur Olawale, slumped at the All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential campaign rally in Jos, Plateau State.

Olawale had travelled all the way from Lagos to be part of the APC Jos mega rally in Plateau State on Tuesday, but as the event was going on, the Lawmaker slumped and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The death which almost marred the success of the rally, has been described as shocking by the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

A statement issued on Wednesday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Gbonyega Akosile which africafirstnews.com obtained a copy, quotes Governor Sanwo-Olu as describing the death of Honourable Olawale as a great loss to Lagos State.

The statement read in part, “Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has mourned the passage of a State House of Assembly member, representing Mushin II State Constituency, Hon. Sobur Olayiwola Olawale. He described the death of the lawmaker as shocking and a great loss to the state.

“The Governor commiserated with the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa and the state lawmakers, as well as family, friends and associates of Hon. Olawale, who slumped and died in Jos, Plateau State on Tuesday.

Honourable Olawale was until his death, the Chairman of the House Committee on Local Government and Community Relations.
